Drug Rehab and police/social/medical records?
WіƖƖ going to drug rehab be on your medical/social/police record? I know my teen has smoked pot, and although we have spoken to һіm on several occasions about tһіѕ, we continue to find evidence that he still іѕ. Hе wаחtѕ to be a fireman–аחԁ I know that he will never become one if he gets caught. WіƖƖ sending һіm to rehab cost һіm a record that he won’t be аbƖе to overcome?

If you pay using insurance, it will be on your insurance record.
I have been to rehab and never had it be a problem on any job or anything else. it is not something I tell people about or put on a job application. It is none of their business.
Try to find a teen program rather than rehab for teen pot smoking.
Maybe ask him to go to 1-2 meetings of NA or other local program.
Rehab is for seriously addicted people.
well nowadays pot really isnt that big of a deal since its used medically my advice is to tell him that ifs hes really dedicated to becoming a fireman he needs to quit & he should go to a place called a detox unit for a week He’ll still be able to become a fireman but going to rehab will look a lot better on his record than possession.
Will sending him to rehab cost him a record that he won’t be able to overcome? – Absolutely not.
Going to drug rehab isn’t put on any social record. It can be put on your medical record, but this depends on both how you pay and what type of treatment it is. Since you are seeking treatment for marijuana it shouldn’t go on your medical record. Marijuana is a very commonplace drug with little physical dependency and therefore rehab treatments for it are less intensive, thus not resulting in actual medical treatment as far as your medical record is concerned. On top of all this, you have a certain right to privacy when seeking treatments such as this that are elective. This is no different (as far as medical records are concerned) than some one getting elective cosmetic surgery.
So not only will it not negatively affect his future career but it will bode much better for him than trying to pursue his career while still struggling with the addiction.
Hope this was of help to you and your family.
