3 Important Life Saving Tips For Dealing With Gout

Make no bones about it…if you’re suffering from gout, you know all too well what the word suffering really means. The majority of people don’t realize just how painful gout can be. Well, you do not have to suffer any more. I am going to share 3 important life saving tips for dealing with your gout.  Follow these three tips and  you’ll be on your way to leading a less painful and more enjoyable life.

Modifying your risk factors is probably the most important thing you can do. There are certain things will make you more prone to getting gout in the first place. By modifying these risk factors, even if you already have gout, you’ll in turn lessen the severity of the symptoms. Keep your weight within the normal range for your height, follow a moderate exercise program, avoid rich foods, meat and seafood and last, but not least, have an evaluation for lead poisoning.

If you’re going to have any chance of beating this terrible disease you must limit your intake of alcohol…especially beer. For people who suffer gout, ALCOHOL is one of the worst offenders. The reason is because the alcohol helps increase the uric acid levels which in turn inflame the joints, tendons and tissues of the body. You will greatly improve your quality of life, just by eliminating this one thing from your diet.

Finally, if your gout flares up, don’t be stubborn like some people. You’re not going to be able to push through the pain. When you have an attack of gout and a joint becomes swollen or painful, rest it. Do not forget to keep it elevated. If you have to take a pain killer (not recommended) do NOT take aspirin as this will only make the problem worse. Take something like ibuprofen to numb the pain.

The reason I don’t recommend taking pain killers is simple. The side effects, either long or short term, will only lead to other problems. Choosing the natural ways of dealing with your gout problem is the better route to go. In my signature, you’ll find a review of a great book that will help you relieve your gout naturally…without having to take any kind of medications.

You don’t have to continue to suffer with your gout. There IS a better way.
