Lohan out of jail, gets rehab
LOS ANGELES – LINDSAY Lohan has been released from jail, but she’s not a free woman yet. The 24-year-old actress was discharged from a suburban Los Angeles jail about 1.35 am (4.35 pm Singapore time) on Monday. She served 14 days of a 90-day jail sentence for violating her probation for a 2007 drug case.

Lohan will head to rehab after her release. See Chip Yost’s report LOS ANGELES — Sources were reporting that Lindsay Lohan could be released from jail as early as 12:00 a.m Monday morning, at which point she’ll be headed straight to rehab.

I have spent countless hours on the internet and phone talking to counselors. The only thing I got out of it is that he can go to a local outpatient rehab for free(which he has been forced to do and it doesn’t work) or an inpatient rehab for thousands of dollars a month. We don’t have that kind of money. I don’t know what to do. He is tearing our family apart and making our lives hell. He has got so many people after him that I am afraid something bad is going to happen to him. He is not in his right mind as he is drugged up so much right now. He has been to jail once and immediately got beat up. I am afraid if he is in there again he will get it worse this time. I don’t know where to turn for help anymore and I don’t know what to do to help him. If something happens to him I will always wonder if I could have done more to help him.

A few questions. Only if you know the answer no guesses please. thank you. this is for somebody that was recently in jail.

Is this in a home that is supervised by a police officer or probation officer?

Is the home both male and female patients?

Is the patient allowed to leave the home whenever they want?

Is it actually effective?

Can the patient have a vehicle and cell phone?

Can the patient have company such as the opposite sex come visit them?

It can be depressing to try to make efforts to stop one’s drug addiction and then fall back into it.  However, addiction to drugs is a challenging area and one needs to not get in a state of hopelessness of a loved one has relapsed. Whitney Houston’s recent interview on Oprah showed her ability to recover from a difficult period of addiction.

The problem with drug rehab not working is often due to an inability to cope with unresolved problems that happened in the past as well as insufficient ways to deal with present day living situations that arise. Recently I saw a client who mentioned that with marijuana he finds he can not be impatient, angry and agitated. Yet, how much more effective it will be when he can learn how to cope with difficult people and situations that are out of our control. We don’t usually learn these skills in school but it is part of something that is practiced in psychotherapy as well as in meditation classes.

One third of the fatalities in New York State involve impaired or intoxicated drivers and pedestrians while young drinking drivers are at the highest risk of all due to the fact that drivers 20 years old or younger are almost three times as likely to be involved in alcohol related fatal crashes than other drivers indicating the urgent need for alcohol education and rehabilitation.

Impaired driving remains a serious threat on New York roads.
