What Do I Do With My Mentally Challenged Father!! Help!!! ?

I am supporting my father by paying his rent each month. He was evicted from his house becasue he causes problems with other tenants. He does not do well with other people and is very disgusting. He has mental problems arising from years of alcohol abuse and drugs. The long term effects of these things has left him with slurred speach and no teeth.
Taking him to a rehab facility is not an option as he is not addicted any longer.
He can’t live with me, and I have no place to put him.

Are there any gov programs that can house him or are there programs that can assist me?
