Foundation for the Drug-Free World Honored With Seven ADDY Awards
Los Angeles, Ca (PRWEB) March 19, 2009
The campaign, consisting of a series of short films, each 30 to 60 seconds in duration, brings home the stark reality of what substance abuse is like, focusing on such drugs as crack, heroin, meth, cocaine and prescription medications. The impact of the images, music and editing, and the frankness with which the subject is presented, effectively counters the drug-culture hype, exposes false ideas about drug abuse and lays bare the truth about drugs, helping teens to examine their attitudes and to make the informed decision to say “no.”
Through the ADDY Awards, the American Advertising Federation (a nationwide not-for-profit industry association) acknowledges creative excellence in advertising.
The Foundation for a Drug-Free World is nonprofit public benefit organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California, that empowers youth and adults with facts about drugs so they can make informed decisions to be drug-free. The ads are part of The Truth About Drugs campaign, which is supported by the Church of Scientology and its members.
