PHOTOS: Everglades City holds candlelight vigil to combat drug abuse
More than 30 residents of Everglades City came out during a candlelight vigil at McLeod Park in Everglades City on Aug. 28. The vigil’s organizer, Christina Johnson, 38, held the event as a call to action for the community to step up efforts to combat drug abuse, especially with prescription pills.
