I know this seems mildly contradictory- I’m stressing the importance of not judging a book by its cover, yet at the same time, I am grouping all addicts into a category when looking for a partner. Do look past the contradiction and see that I’m not grouping or applying a stereotype to that person (the addict), but rather avoiding the substance. Not all addicts are the same, and my discrimination is not about the person, but about the drug. I hope that made sense.
