Family(s) Fued…. :(?

I am scared. I am scared. I need help. Please.
Here’s what happend
I’m a 13 year old boy. Our nextdoor neighbours are like, my family’s best friends. We have such a strong relationship together. so strong, that we moved into new houses right beside eachother. :) There family consists of a: Mother, Father, 2 daughters, and their grandparents live with them.
My family consists of: a Mother, father, 3 children *including me, and my Dog, Chewy
Chewy is a 2 1/2 year old dog, and is a very small and fragile. he is a mix-breed of Maltese- Shi-Tzu.
We have always had strong relationships together, both the parents and kids.
Until one day, it seemed something went wrong.
It seemed as if their Grandpa, (who lives with them) has been going through some problems, (problems i have no idea about) and is *letting* them out on my dog, by Saying stuff like “F**K OFF” and has been abusing him. he does this whenever my dog gets *near* their garden or backyard door.
Another problem is, my Dog isn’t doing ANYTHING to them..
My dog is the most pleasent, playful, cutest dogs you would ever meet. and I hate seeing him getting treated this way.
by the way, when i said “abusing”, i meant, he’s been *kicking* my dog!
Thats like kicking your child? how would u feel if someone abused your child like that?
But the Most Unusual thing about this, is that their Grandpa has NEVER done this before. NEVER. He must have some problems with drugs or something, i Dont know.
And of course, we took action about this.
and By The Way, Our backyards are kinda connected, cuz we didnt want a fence blocking us apart from eachother :)
Ya. so we took action about this. we told them that their children should come on our backyard, so them our dog won’t follow into their yard so their Grandpa won’t do it anymore.
I am scared, as i said. Very Scared. I Need Help.

The dog needs to be outside..It’s common sense! He’s an animal!

Just keep your dog in your house.
Or talk to the neighbors.
But not the grandpa.
Like you said, you have a strong relationship so just talk to them
and tell them what the grandpa is doing.
Im pretty sure kicking a dog is illegal.
