Q&A: I’m Not a Very Good Addict, Am I?
Question by Elizabeth: I’m not a very good addict, am I?
I’ve used alcohol, opiates and adderall for a while now.
I’ve been in and out of outpatient treatments, NA and Rehab.
I remember in an outpatient treatment I had I told the group quote :
“I don’t feel like a good addict”
I’ve never done heroin or blow and sometimes that makes me feel less of an addict
I mean… I guess an addict is an addict
I think it’s just because I’m really NOT in recovery. Sure I’ve been in a bunch of treatment, but I am starting to use again.
I don’t know… am I the only one who doesn’t feel like a “good” addict?
Do I just not grasp the concept of my disease? Or the disease I’m told to have?
I’m not dependent at the moment. I’m just using right now to get the high.
