Question by Julie: How can a christian help a drug addict with dementia to get rid of the demons ravaging his soul?
I know someone who has been abusing cocaine and other hard drugs for years and now has become extremely paranoid that “people are chasing him” and that he needs to find them. He used to be a christian but has fallen away.
I am a Christian woman and I believe that he is experiencing the affects of evil spirits inside his mind due to the drugs. He was also convicted of crimes years ago with felony penalties, so many forceful rehab clinics will not accept him.
I have spoken with police for fear he will hurt someone as well. They said that they can not force anything on him or punish him or send him to a mental facility until he has actually hurt someone. He has mentally hurt all of us who know him and it’s a tragedy seeing him in this shape. How can I help him in a Christian way before someone gets hurt? This has been happening over the course of about 6 years and he has done many things where police have warned him, and he’s been in and out of jail.
