Where the Buffalo Roam… Wisconsin Retreat Center Opens Its Doors and Arms to the Public

(PRWEB) December 20, 2003

American Indian friends call it a Power Place. Visitors call it spiritually nourishing.

Georgia Derrick and Jim Atten are blessed to call it home!

After 5 years of providing educational tours and sharing the Bison and our land at BisonRidge Ranch, husband and wife owners Georgia Derrick and Jim Atten have decided that it just isnÂ?t enough. It was only natural to share the treasure of their beautiful, newly renovated Victorian home so that others can experience the serenity and healing quality that is found here.

A few current events at the BisonRidge Ranch and Retreat Center include: Reiki classes, a veterinary workshop, a drug and alcohol recovery workshop, a writerÂ?s retreat and workshop, a spiritual retreat and workshop and a magical Victorian wedding.

Â?But imagination is the key!Â? says an enthusiastic Georgia. Â?Think corporate retreats, couples getaways and even family reunions and vacations.Â?

Set near the shores of historical Buffalo Lake, near scenic Montello, Wisconsin, BisonRidge Ranch and retreat center boasts 900 acres of rich pastureland abundant with native grasses where Bison roam in their natural habitat. Lush forests and historical landmarks also grace the property.

Â?Can you imagine treating your retreat or event group to something as magical as waking up to see a herd of Bison outside their window?Â? Georgia asks, leaving one to ponder what a remarkable treat that would be.

While the woodland trails and peaceful atmosphere of BisonRidge Ranch encourage the mind and spirit to open, learn and heal, BisonRidge Ranch has a number of amenities for visitors during their stay.

Spa and sauna are included with all stays and massage therapy and Reiki are available upon request.

The kitchen is available 24 hours a day and healthy, delicious meals catered by Chef Evan Topel of Underwood Market in Montello are available for all retreats and events. Derrick and Atten are happy to arrange special activities and adventures for visitors either at BisonRidge or elsewhere in the area.
