Why Is Alcohol Not Socially Classified as a Drug? Is It Because the Users Are Trying to Deny Theyre Guilt?

Question by BlackTexan09: Why is alcohol not socially classified as a drug? Is it because the users are trying to deny theyre guilt?
I find it real funny when i see this. I was on google looking for a shirt that had something of the terms “Marijuana: my anti alcohol”. Or something like that, i cant really remember what i was looking for exactly. Instead i found all these shirts proclaiming “Alcohol: My Anti Drug”……Is this the medias stunt to reduce guilt or shame by not really classifying it as a drug. Because, it is a drug…a very dangerous and detramental one indeed. What are your views about this? I think we live in a very ignorant and hypocritical society personally. If alcohol gets u intoxicated…and so does alcohol…can we not put 2 and 2 together and acknowledge alcohol for what it really is? A DRUG.
and so does cannabis*

Alcohol is a drug.I have known dat since i was 9yrs old but so is paracetamol but alcohol is a brilliant part of 90% of ppls life (well mine at least alcohol makes me so happy and positive-im usually happy but alcohol strengthens it tenfold). Maybe i live in a different culture than u(im from Ireland) but alcohol is mostly good 4 ppl in my opinion. I suppose an alcoholic will disagree with me though
