The Bridge

Hope Crisis Center is proud to announce that we will be opening a Young Womens Transitional Home and Training Center, called The Bridge For many months we have been waiting and praying to know exactly how to utilize the beautiful 17000 sq. ft. building that was donated to us. Though we have our office here for the Crisis Call Center the remainder of the building is unused. After doing much research and networking we have found that one of the greatest needs in Kay Co. and actually all of Oklahoma, is a place to house young 18 year old women leaving foster care or childrens homes and going out on their own. Often times these young ladies are not prepared to make this transition. The Bridge will give them an opportunity to experience independent living in a safe environment. The training portion of our program will include many trainings, such as: Job Skills Cooking and Nutrition classes Life Skills Financial (banking, saving, budgeting) Gardening And many more We are living in troubled times and Hope Crisis Center is helping hurting people with a hand up, not a hand out. Our Crisis call Center has helped hundreds since 1996 as a Non- Profit, 501©(3) Ministry to assist people in getting help for drug and alcohol addictions, domestic violence, crisis pregnancy intervention, troubled teens, suicide intervention and much more. Now we are expanding our outreach ministry through The Bridge. At this time we have submitted applications for grants that will help fund this important

UPDATE: PLEASE ALSO WATCH ( DAY 1 AGAIN – HOW ? THE FIGHT TO QUIT SMOKING! 10-2-2009) I decided to post a video after 25 years of smoking, to help get a CHANTiX REVIEW out there. It has a very good success rate 44% – but the #1 side effect is depression. Also will study up on Zyban. THERE ARE MANY ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY tools out there that work, however it also depends on the individual who is quitting smoking. I had to stop take Chantix on Day five due to a weird depression type feeling WHILE I WAS STILL SMOKING! – So I quit smoking with nicotine patches and gum. So far so good! 7-30-09 UPDATE: It lasted about 5 days, and I ended up smoking agian – PLEASE VIEW UPDATED VIDEO (How ? DAY 1 AGAIN) THE FIGHT TO QUIT SMOKING! Message to Christians: I have read and heard so many Christians feeling so much quilt because they are smoking, and can’t seem to quit. First of all – NO ONE should be feeling guilty of trying to quit an addiction because YOU want to. I have seen way to much legalism in Religion and Churches, condemning those who smoke and that is straight out UN-BIBLICAL period. If someone or organization is telling you that you have to quit smoking to do this or that, or get closer to God…run from the lie and hit your knees and just pray to Jesus Christ. It is the personal 1 on 1 relationship which will help you! You can not get wrapped up in any type of legalism what so ever! NEVER quit smoking if your not ready, regardless what others may say! God is not looking down
