Question by xpushpin: How can I help “persuade” my parents into letting me go to a music festival?
I want to go to a big, all ages music fest. in my town but my parents, or more correctly my mum, doesn’t want me to go because it goes from 2pm-10pm so it will be dark and dangerous, there will be drugs and alcohol, and then there is the risk of being “crushed” in a mosh pit. Her words, not mine. Personally, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, I can certainly take care of myself but I guess I understand where the worry is coming from. Anyway, how can I help persuade her into letting me go? Thanks.

I’m 15. I told my mum to go with me, she laughed. I told my dad to go with me and he can be like one of those creepy fathers who follow their children around to make sure they aren’t doing anything wrong and end up looking like a stalker, I was joking though… They are saying “Maybe, I’ll think about it”.
