Support groups tell parents of addicts that they have to set boundaries. But that refrain rings hollow to Susan MacMillan, whose eldest son lost his battle with heroin. “There are no boundaries with heroin,” MacMillan said. “You cannot stop it. Love cannot stop it. Nothing can stop it. Only they can stop it themselves.”
