Healthcare and Russia are two terms that shouldn’t go together.

Let me just give you an example and you will understand:

A 60-year old woman calls paramedics for chest pain. The operator asks a woman’s age. After finding out the age she the operator refuses for paramedics to come over without giving a reason and hangs up the phone. A woman has a heart attack 10 minutes later and dies.

Another story is very similar except, except a woman’s son offers an operator a bribe. Paramedics come over, the woman dies in an emergency room because no proper medication was available to provide to the patient.

First story is from St. Petersburg, second one is from Moscow.

I have more real stories like these. It’s a disgrace.
