Does It Matter How Long It Takes You to Complete College? Thinking Abbout Going Part Time at First?

Question by Garrus Vakarian: Does it matter how long it takes you to complete college? thinking abbout going part time at first?
well im currently a junior in high school. im starting to think about where i want to go to college. my grades right now are average at best if not lower. the reason being is because of alot of social issues, and a horrible family. parents both drink all night, hate me, and barely talk to me about this kind of stuff. i really want to move out when i finish high-school.

What i really want is a fresh start. i think its just too late to get my grades up and go to a good college. i honestly have barely any friends to turn to, and no family to help me. my basic plan is to try to get a full time job, go to community college part time, and just get my degree in a pretty laid back way even if it will take a while. im very interested in biology science and i would like to get some sort of job in that area one day in the future by working very slowly up to it by myself.

the reason im alone all the time is because im a very shy, laid back person. and also most of the people at scool just want to do drugs all the time and go to parties, and that just dosent apeal to me.

i just want a new start in life where i can just slowly cruise through it and get to my destination in a laid back manor. i know one day ill have to get into a high-end school for my career and work hard at that point.

is my little plan here ok? what are my options? i have no idea what to do i cant live at home for college because i may seriously end up killing myself.

is it possible to work full time as a college student and be able to afford an apartment? even a crappy one. i dont mind being alone my whole way through it.

thank you for reading, and any answers are apriciated.

You can go to college at home and probably turn your higher learning into higher earning at reasonable cost. Education matters because it usually translates into more money. Don’t overlook your online education like SBI where you don’t have to go to class but you gain valuable knowledge. It helps to have more than one set of skills in the information age. . Check it out to see if you can get college credits also. Best of luck.
