Opinions, Will This Work? or Some Advice?

Question by Blue: Opinions, will this work? or some advice?
My name is Beba. I am 13 years old, and in the 7th grade. I go to a middle and elementary school in Chicago, IL. There are two things I have noticed in my school. 1, majority of all students have no hobby, besides temple run and facebook. 2) There are alot of students who don’t feel like they either fit in, or feel invisible

I love the band My Chemical Romance, they inspire me so much, and I think It would be just great if I could get atleast one of the band members to come to my school, to talk about things like sparking up creativity, drug abuse ( since the lead singer has been clean for years now ), bullies, being different ( MCR really helped me with being different ), or something related to that.

My plan was to get a few friends to create a petition, and get as many signatures from the students in my school as possible. Then show my principal, and see if it’s a good idea. If it is, I could email/message one of the band members the petition, and wish for the best for a reply. Do you guys think it will work? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance, anything helps!”

What do you have to lose? :) I say go for it, it’s not every day a 13 year old wants to make a change at her school. It could work, usually bands and artists are sensitive to issues like that and helping the republic. Also, you ask your principal(if he doesn’t want a band at your school) for a speaker on drug abuse, bullies, etc. At my school, ASB every year gives us a pep rally on that kind of thing and brings in a guest speaker, and it seems to have some effect. Good Luck!
