A Million Little Pieces: James Frey

Bought this book years ago when is was on featured on Oprah, later learned the author fabricated parts/some/all of this self-professed recount of his battle over drug and alcohol addiction. With that being said, whether this book is complete fiction or a true account of a persons battle with addiction, this is a compelling read that has left me profoundly touched. For those that would be disturbed by excessive and unabated profanity, this may not be recommended. However, I have found myself at different times in the story in a state of frantic reading catching myself holding my breath, or with tears streaming down my face, or in a position of extreme disgust, and also at times in complete joy.
For those with family or friends who may be addicts in any stage, this is a haunting look at the extremes of thought and action that possibly only can be truly understood by other addicts. I highly recommend this book.
