Page claimed that many alcoholics are posterior pituitary gland deficient. Treatment of alcoholics should include urine specific gravity determinations and anthropometric measurements to determine the activity of the posterior pituitary gland.Low posterior pituitary function produces low ADH levels (antidiuretic hormone)so alcoholics drink a lot of liquids and have frequency of urination.
