Arts & Appetizers Trolley Trail Raises Funds for Lexington Center for Recovery
Mount Kisco, NY (PRWEB) November 17, 2008
As they wound around the Village of Mount Kisco on an old time trolley, more than 150 Arts & Appetizers Trolley Trail attendees sampled tasty treats from such restaurants as Basilico Pizza & Pasta; Brio Mediterranean Restaurant & Lounge; Eduardo’s Restaurant & Lounge; Francesca’s Bistro; Gerardo’s Restaurant; Jennifer’s Kitchen & Catering; La Camelia; Mango Café; Mardino’s; O’Malley’s; Passage to India; Pure Indulgence; Temptation Tea House; and Tuscan Oven.
The event, which was hosted by Lexington Center for Recovery (LCR), raised funds to support LCR in its mission to assure that the needs of those affected by substance abuse are addressed in a holistic approach to service delivery with the recognition that successful recovery comes with a loving circle of support.
“The funds that were raised through ticket sales, art purchases and our silent auction will support the programming we offer to various populations with specific treatment needs. It was a great day, and we are pleased that so many people showed their support,” said Dr. Adrienne Marcus, executive director of LCR.
“I would like to extend a very special thanks to all of our volunteers, our Board members, restaurant and artist partners and our sponsors. The restaurants did a wonderful job of showcasing their culinary flair, and the artists their artistic expertise,” Dr. Marcus added.
