BSA 2010 Poster 2 – Stephanie
Stephanie O’Neill (Newcastle University) presents her research poster ‘Exploring product choice and critical price thresholds in young people who drink alcohol’ at the BSA 2010 Annual Conference @ Glasgow Caledonian University. Stephanie’s work focuses on attitudes and behaviours in relation to alcohol consumption amongst young people aged 14-17, situated in North East England. In particular her work examines the nature in which price affects patterns of consumption.
Filmed as part of the Youth Against Binge drinking campaign. The Youth Against Binge Drinking Campaign aims to highlight the problems of binge drinking in the Stockport area. The film was written, produced and stars local young people. This peer-to-peer approach works towards reducing the number of young people binge drinking and the associated risk-taking behaviour. The film is being shown in Stockport and across the UK in schools, colleges and youth organisations. The project was financially supported by V.
