Celebrate A New Life Appoints New Christian Rehab Staff Members

Celebrate A New Life today announced K. Mitchell Naficy, M.D. has been named Medical Director. Dr. Naficy will oversee each patient’s initial medical evaluation upon admission to our Christian residential drug and alcohol treatment center.

Robert (Bobby) Nicholl, Director of Admissions at Celebrate A New Life, is pleased to bring Dr. Naficy on board adding: “Dr. Naficy brings a strong medical background and he will provide a full overview of our patient’s behavioral and emotional state, while analyzing the dynamics of the patient’s home and family life.”

Dr. Naficy interned at USC Medical Center in 1990 and then went on to complete his three year residency training at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. He is board certified in Family Practice and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice (FAAFP). Also, Tracy Buxton, RN, who has worked with Dr. Naficy since July 2009, will assist him in patient care management for Celebrate A New Life’s recovery clients.

The addition of Dr. Naficy and Nurse Tracy Buxton compliments the recent appointments of Sharon Stafford, Ph.D, as Clinical Director and Quinlan Strong, Ph.D., as Program Director. Dr Stafford brings a wealth of experience with in-patient and out-patient treatment, crisis management and a research background in chronic pain. Dr. Strong’s resume includes treating co-occurring disorders, teaching college level courses in criminal justice and applying cognitive behavioral modification programs to Celebrate A New Life’s Christian drug treatment modalities.
