(Becker-Weidman , 2006) We started this film with the idea of making a simple music video with our close friends. As we developed the storyboard and brainstormed, we realized a deeper meaning. While listening to the lyrics, we took Schuylar Crooms story “China White II” and created our interpretation into a vision. The film coincides with the lyrics to portray a story of abuse and salvation. The film follows a drug abusive father, an alcoholic mother, an abused child, and the neighbor who could only sit idly by for so long. In less than 5 minutes these four characters, bring forth the startling statistics that family’s face, child and drug abuse.
