Christmas spirit in full force in Ukiah
Santa got an earful of children’s wish lists Saturday morning while the young and old waited for the annual lighting of the town Christmas tree and the Trucker’s Light Parade to ring in the season with loud air horns and big-rig engines later in the evening.

Pembine woman sentenced to prison term
MARINETTE, Wis. – A Pembine woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after a fatal traffic crash on U.S. Highway 141 in May. Kathrine J. Montey, 49, pleaded no contest to homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle on Oct. 4.
