Over all, and this is all coming from a recovering drug addict. I’ve been clean for the last 4 months!! Drugs and alcohol really don’t think that there are any benifits to using either!! All drugs with the possible exception of weed DEFINATLY have NO benifits!! What so ever!!
First of all marijuana, is illgal. It is in my opinion the only drug out there that may have some kind of benifits, such as for medical use for things like pain, and in B.C a person is able to get a note and diagnosis from their doctor hand it in to this organization called, “The compassion club” and only then are they able to purchase marijuana legaly.
When a person is using maijuana for the pure purpose of entertainment…. Tha t is different, especially so with younger people, in my opinion. But overall the symptoms of feeling perhaps lazy, and slow on your thought procces, and very un motivated to go about doing your everyday rutine, not to mention the complete burn out that happens once a person is starting to come down from their high!!
Then there are the harder drugs, or chemicals that are ABSOLUTLY NOT a good idea for anyone to start experimenting with!! Drugs such as, crack cocaine, herion, crystal meth to mention just a few. There are NO benifits at all from any of these!! All of them are extreamly addicting, mentally and pysically. The ones that I have just recently over come are Herion and the crystal meth! Both I was addicted to over a period of around 6-7 years!! Six to seven years that I completly waisted away to nothing!!
First the herion is more of a pysical addiction, but also had me mentally. First it started as a mental thing, picture how in the cartoons there would be the devil and the angle trying to either convince you to do the better or worse decision, and it always seemed as though no matter how bad I knew what I was doing was wrong, I stilll did it. That mental pull was just too strong. Then eventually th ephysical addiction comes in, and thats when it really at the time dosen’t seem like a choice on wheather or not to do it, because if I didn’t do it my body would start to withdraw from not having this chemical running through my body. I NEEDED it in order to not feel th ewithdraw of being “sick”, the best I can describe this is like having a extreamly bad flu. Sweating, my muscles would start tieing into knots and would just feel sooo restless and hurt, I’d start to throw up, and in some case people get diarrea, thankfully thats something I never had to go through, It would get soooo bad at times I couldn’t even walk!! And the only thing that would stop the hurt would be to either do some more herion. Either that or I could detox myself and go through all this for 5-7 days and have it get worse for the first 3-4 before slowly beginning to feel better. ANd when your a drug addict thats NOT gonna be the one you choose.
So theres the addiction part thats bad, but then how does one go about supporting their addiction? Most of the time once your that far into your addiction a person supports their habit, no matter which drug, but breaking the law, by doing things such as shoplifting, robbing people/stores, some will even prostitute themselves to get the money, others will start selling drugs, and doing all this will ALWAYS eventually land the person in jail!!
Crystal meth is in my opinion one of the worst drugs out there!! That one is just straight up chemicals that you can litterally find under your kitchen sink!! And it is EXTREAMLY addicting!! And the number it does on ones health both physically and mentally!! Its a drug that will give you abcesses and a lot of people on crystal will have a uncontrolable urge to pick at themselves, which in turn leaves your body with gross sores all over, and then the chemicals that end up coming out of your pores willl infect those sores.
But mentally the way it damages a person is completely irreversable!! People on crystal meth become delusional, and hear things, stay up for days, weeks, even months!! A lot of the time it causes schiziphrenia, it happened to my boyfriend, who is also clean and sober now! But hes always going to have to take his medication in order to not think all crazt and delusional.
Pretty much what I’m trying to get across is that All drugs a complete dead end literaly, a drug addiction is very hard to over come, Me and my boyfriend are very lucky that we have been able overcome ours through support. We were so far into our addictions that we spent the majority of it sleeping out on the streets, in Vancouver, B.C!! The streets are another place that addiction can take a person, it will also make the best people cheat, lye to even the ones they love, and do things they could never even imagine themselves doing EVER!! Addiction is not a good place to be!!
I know that I didn’t answer everything but I really hope this at least helps in some way!!
