Core Solutions Awarded Contract to Replace Pennsylvania Department of Health Information System

Core Solutions, Inc. announced today that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has awarded a competitively-bid contract for the replacement of the Client Information System (CIS) for the Department of Health. This is the first stage in a process that will include a possible later integration of behavioral health data between the Department of Health and the Department of Public Welfare.

The Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs (BDAP) has been working for several years to identify a replacement data solution for the current antiquated CIS that will comply with its needs and meet the federally mandated National Outcome Measures standards. Core Solutions’ Care Enterprise platform will have the technical breadth and depth to meet the various requirements of the provider community and be accessible by county and state entities in a seamless and secure manner. Additionally, the technology solution will provide easy multi-way data integration capabilities for providers and counties using existing technology solutions while providing seamless data integration capabilities with existing Commonwealth systems and meeting federal requirements.
