CyberRecovery.net Celebrates 2 Years Helping Alcoholics and Addicts Seeking Recovery

(PRWEB) October 12, 2005

Cyber Recovery – www.cyberrecovery.net offers a message board with lots of help/support, love, understanding and caring to those seeking recovery from alcohol and drug addictions and also to loved ones of alcoholics and drug addicts. We have thousands of recovery links offering information on alcoholism, drug abuse, eating disorders, treatment/detox and more.

It all started back in 1997, when Tammy Boyle was seeking recovery from alcohol for herself. She happened upon an AA chatroom online and began to visit it daily. She found love, support, encouragement, understanding and hope from the members of that chatroom. When newcomers came to the chatroom seeking information about recovery, she eagerly helped them in return for the help that was given her.

In January, 1998, with the help of her husband, she put up her first recovery web page – Tammy’s AA Links – http://www.ipass.net/a1idpirat/tAA.html – to help others find the recovery information they were seeking. The site continued to grow and began to also include links for other addictions besides alcohol. The site was then renamed Tammy’s Recovery Links. In 2003, Tammy bought the domain name cyberrecovery.net and the site has grown even more from there. Cyber Recovery now has a message board and chatroom with loving, caring, supporting members offering a safe place and online help and support to others seeking recovery alcohol, drug addictions and eating disorders and to loved ones of alcoholics and addicts. Cyber Recovery is a living, breathing online fellowship for all recovery groups. Today, we continue to offer hope to those new to recovery and continue to give back what has so freely been given us.
