David Houke Recruited to Lead Burning Tree Lodge

Kaufman, TX (PRWEB) February 8, 2011

Burning Tree, a licensed long term drug and alcohol treatment center specializing in a proven 12-step relapse prevention curriculum, is proud to introduce David Houke, LMSW, LCDC, as the new Clinical Director at our Burning Tree Lodge facility.

David’s management experience extends over thirty years. During an eighteen year period at a Texas based treatment center near Kerrville, David held the positions of Counselor Intern, Case Manager, Family Program Director, and ultimately Adult Program Director. He was a key member of a team that created an electronic medical records system, and will be assisting in upgrading Burning Tree’s client records to a state-of-the-art system. In addition to his work experience David brings over 21 years of sobriety to our Treatment Team. David completed his Bachelor’s Degree at Southern Illinois University and his Masters in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. David interned at the Kerrville State Hospital as part of his master’s program. He is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers. He is currently serving a three year term as a board trustee for NASW/Tx Political Action for Candidate Election committee (TPACE). His philanthropic work has also included service as Board President of Charisse Community Health Care in Austin, and Board Member for the House of Hope in Kerrville.

“We are honored to have a person of David’s caliber on the team at Burning Tree,” says CEO Curt Maddon. “The hunt for the perfect candidate spanned over a five month period. When we began talking with David, we knew early on that we had found the right person,” Maddon adds. David assumed his duties in late December, offices at the Lodge, and may be reached at 512-285-5900.

Burning Tree Programs has two drug and alcohol rehab treatment facilities located near Dallas and Austin, Texas and is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The admissions department may be reached at (866) 287-2877.
