Help With Drug-Addiction ?

Question by Chris K: Help with drug-addiction ?
my dear aunt has been taking unprescribed psychotropic drugs for a decade now, her reason is depression/irritation but the real reason is because no one in the family advised her otherwise. Our family endured a lot of medical problems, so eventually someone popped a pill to her when she was feeling down and she got hooked since. I tried everything to convince her but she abruptly ignores the conversation and continues taking them anyway. I’ve seen her taking these with my own eyes ever since i was a small child. Do the math. Is it ever possible to get her off these ? The meds are lexotanil, advil and deanxit.

Therapy. AA/NA is a cult so don’t bother with it. Usually addicts have to hit a rock bottom before they manage to quit. You can push them to it by cutting off any support you give them and no longer associating with them.
