This is a semi-synthetic opioid used for treatment of drug abuse. Buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), a semi-synthetic opioid, is used to treat opioid addiction. It is also used to treat moderate pain levels in persons who are not able to take opioid for pain.
Before taking this medication it is important that the prescribing physician be aware of other medical conditions are present as well as all medications and nutritional supplements you are taking to avoid drug interactions and dangerous side effects…including death.
