I Am Upset With My Dad’s Alcoholic Addiction?

Question by gini: i am upset with my dad’s alcoholic addiction?
firstly,i love my dad and i am concerned about him.

my dad is completely addicted to alcohol.not that he is drunk all the time but every evening he gets drunk,and doesnt realise what he speaks and does after that.”he is ready to leave everything and everyone for his alcohol”..he doent want to get into the rehab..he has got health problms because of that..
doctor has even told him that he might lose his life someday because of alcohol,but yet he continues..
we all are upset and worried for him..
is there any way i can get his alcohol habit out of his life??

Nope. He has to want it. Hopefully he will get there soon.
You, however, should really go to an Alanon meeting. You need to understand this disease before it wrecks you. You can google alanon or find it in a phone book.

Addiction sucks. It took me 7 years to go to rehab. thank god I didnt die, kill someone else or go to jail.
