Is Private Insurance the Same as Blue Cross and Blue Shield?

Is private insurance the same as Blue Cross and Blue Shield? I am looking to get into a a drug rehab; i am not a druggy but I have this groin problem 5 years ago and now I am being prescribed meds and they are not working and I cant sleep; I am in pain all day with pain meds; I need to get a clean slate; I have blue cross blue shield is that considered private insurance or state insurance; any help would be appreciated; thanks in advance
This is self employed blue cross blue shield insurance; i am self employed
