Is the TSA Spreading Dangerous C-Diff Spores Between Airport Customers?

Question by softwareengineer98037: Is the TSA spreading dangerous c-diff spores between airport customers?
In recent years, the TSA airport security started swabbing people’s toiletry bags as a security measure but have potentially infected over 100,000 Americans with dangerous c-diff infections since around 2005. 3 Days after the TSA swabbed my toothpaste tube while I was on high spectrum antibiotics, I got a c-diff intestinal infection which has since been cleared up with vancomycin and regular vegan probiotics. I spoke with two civil attorney’s and they both said that my damages were too small for them to be interested, however I wonder how many people are unable to clear up their c-diff infection. The TSA currently wears gloves but does not change them after touching peoples’ hemorrhoid anal creams and then touching thousands of people’s toothpaste tube with the same gloves! Touching toiletries is not the same as touching other things like money and should require a change of gloves!! Hospitals get fined for if there is a c-diff outbreak and so should the TSA otherwise the problem will just keep getting worse. Google for “c-diff statistics” you will notice that the increase in deaths and infections line up with changes in Airport security in the last decade! Some things to note about how c-diff is spread: c-diff can not be cleaned with alcohol based “hand sanitizers”, c-diff spores can survive for months on a hemorrhoid anal cream tube, c-diff is typically transmitted from anal[surface]oral chain of contact events, usually only people on high spectrum antibiotics get sick from c-diff infections, and prior to the changes in airport security in the last decade c-diff WAS only a problem in nursing homes and long-term health care facilities. The fix may be simple, require TSA to change gloves prior to opening anyone’s toiletry or other liquids bag, the gloves should be changed in front of the customer.

You assumed that it was the TSA that gave you C. diff. It’s much more likely that the “high spectrum antibiotics” caused it. The increase in C. diff infections also parallels increased use of antibiotics.

While I’m sorry you were ill, making ill founded claims doesn’t do anything.
