Well it is normal to forget things, we all do, but there is a point where it is not normal. Forgetfulness and lack of common sense are some of the warning signs of the beginning of dementia along with being unable to perform simple tasks. More signs of the start of dementia is Acting socially inapropriate, having trouble making choices, and Forgetting where you are in familiar places. Another disease you might want to look into is alzheimers disease. Hope this helped :)
