(PRWEB) May 8, 2003
The War On Drugs has failed as miserably as Prohibition did in the 30’s. DARE has proven to be ineffective in reducing drug use among our youth. Now kids are taking it upon themselves to do something about drug abuse.
This spring kids from Detroit, New York and Tallahassee will take a stand against drug abuse by runnning in the Run Drugs Out of Town Run. The Detroit events is scheduled for May 31st with distances from a quarter mile run for kids up to a 5k for more serious runners.
All proceedes from the event will go to Transition to Excellence a program started by former Michigan football and track star Allen Jefferson.
