Mountainside Substance Abuse Treatment Program Announces Launch of New Message Board

Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan Connecticut announces the launch of an online substance abuse recovery forum this month that will allow users of its website to have access to an interactive resource available 24 hours a day.
The forum will host of a number of different chat rooms which will facilitate meeting areas for former residents, parents and family members, new comers, and people wishing to have dialogue with others interested in substance abuse treatment. This resource will compliment the already extensive substance abuse treatment services offered by Mountainside Treatment Center. Former residents will be able to check in with their counselors and other people who underwent treatment at the same time. Each user of the forum creates an account that includes information such as their “recovery date” and location. On the date of their anniversary a message will appear on the homepage announcing the registered user and their anniversary, this is a great way to show support and help former residents.
“We are very excited about this development and eagerly await the launch date later this month” said Bruce Drever Executive Director.
Mountainside currently receives over ten thousand visitors to its website each week. Mountainside Treatment Center offers and innovative treatment program that utilizes progressive methods in order to achieve stellar results.
Some other treatment services that Mountainside provides are:
Outreach Program – A prevention program where Mountainside goes into highschools each week to teach the lesson of prevention.
Long Term Treatment – A long term treatment program for residents who require a longer length of time than the intermediate treatment program provides.
Job Training Program – Offered to long term residents. Mountainside owns and operates a public restaurant that is located in town. Residents are provided with jobs, they are expected to open a bank account, and they adhere to a program with a focus on life and living skills.
