Oh why did I go out this morning? I ate too much junk yesterday and my body is having a detox fit.

But hey, I’ve been meaning to do a sunrise for a long while at Kangaroo Point. I’m keen to get some nice golden glow on the buildings.

I’ve seen folks inserting the moon into shots for a very long time now and I thought this shot could do with a little ‘DA’. Not my usual thing. This moon was actually shot about 1.5 hours later on – with the Canon 70-200 f4 L @ f/8.

– Canon 24-70 L
– Canon 400D
– Tripod
– Beanie (in car)
– Gloves (in car)

Processing

1) Import into Lightroom as RAW
a) Crop
b) Curves
c) Camera Calibration to Landscape
d) White Balance tweak
e) Preset – Punch
f) Noise Reduction in LR
g) Brightness
h) And a moon in Photoshop.
2) Export using Flickr Uploader and LR2/Mogrify plugin

Suprisingly, Mario still hadn’t gotten used to taking his supplements and was still on the run from Yoshi and Toad. He had managed to get down the hallway and out the lounge room into the backyard, where he managed to shake them off.

Mario thought he was pretty clever and had the perfect hiding spot where he would never be found….
