Framingham MA (PRWEB) April 2, 2008

Pearlman Therapeutics, LLC and Medical Director Michael Pearlman M.D. are very excited to announce the launch of their new web site, designed as a platform for alcohol treatment and consultative life strategy programs based on the FreedomFromAlcohol.com method of recovery. Founded by Michael Pearlman, M.D., the FreedomFromAlcohol™ Method is an outpatient program that treats patients in 3 phases: physical healing, understanding pattern identification, and life strategy, which assists patients in designing their new life after alcohol for success.

“We have two treatment options available and are able to assist the problem drinker wherever they reside. The first is the In-House Freedom program for clients in the vicinity of my office in Framingham MA. The second program, the Internet-Based Freedom Program is available where location is a concern; clients are monitored through e-therapy and telephone. Both options are proven successes and the basis of the treatment remains virtually the same for both,” explained Dr. Pearlman.

Michael Pearlman has had a private psychiatric practice for 25 years and during that time his knowledge and experience has helped hundreds of patients to successfully overcome their addiction to alcohol. Using FDA approved anti-craving medications such as Baclofen, Naltrexone and Campral; Dr. Pearlman assists his patients with their compulsion to drink excessively.

“Not everyone wants to or needs to abstain from drinking alcohol entirely. With the FreedomFromAlcohol™ Method, I’m able to work with patients to modify their drinking habits, or of course assist them with complete cessation from alcohol as well. This is all determined by an initial medical evaluation with the client; if they are located out of state or out of the country, I will work with their health care professional or primary care physician via the Internet-Based Freedom remote therapy option,” said Pearlman

“Once my client is feeling stronger from the lingering effects of alcohol, we introduce phase two of the FreedomFromAlcohol™Method, and they are started on a program of consultative analysis sessions. There are always reasons for excessive drinking. Knowing and understanding what makes alcohol a requirement rather than just a personal choice is vital,” added Pearlman. “We spend our treatment sessions discussing what their motivations are to drink excessively, what stressors usually precede their excessive drinking and we work through the issues.”

When a person is in recovery, it is also a time for reflection and self improvement. They will desire something more for themselves and, if nothing else, will want to make up for lost time, so this is an ideal time for implementing the third phase of The FreedomFromAlcohol™ Method: Life Strategies. Working with Dr. Pearlman, the client is encouraged to set new goals and optimize their life for success. They clarify what is important to them, decide on their goals and objectives and how they are going to attain them. The purpose of this third element is to help them achieve the kind of life they always dreamed about if they could live their life exactly the way they wanted it to be.

The new www.FreedomFromAlcohol.com website is laden with information and tools to assist the problem drinker overcome their burgeoning desire for alcohol. When visiting Dr. Pearlman’s new website there is much to keep them absorbed including:
