I have been on Peg-Intron 150 MCG/0.5ML & Ribavirin 1200MG/12 Oral Solution treatment for about 10 days now. I have one of my best friends flying out (for the weekend fri night – sun afternoon) BTW I live in Vegas
I am wondering if it would be ok to have a few cocktails while he is here? Does anyone know what happens if I have a few 3-6 beers one night while he is here? Will it make me “Very Sick”? Will it affect the meds? I do have to work the whole time he is here so I don’t plan on drinking alot!
I haven’t gotten sick (flu-like symptoms) after the second day of using meds! (injection/oral solution)
I have looked and read everything I can find about the treatment but only thing I seen about it “No Alcohol Should Be Used While On Treatment” but what will it hurt if I do?

I’m assuming you are on these meds for chronic hepatitis?? Well since your liver functions are compromised alcohol would be a bad idea as alcohol is mainly metabolised by the liver. Not only will you get sick, you might interfere with the efficacy of your current regimen. So although alcohol in moderation with most meds is the norm, in your case i would strongly advise against it.
