ZHANG: Indonesian police have discovered a massive drug factory disguised as an Internet rental business. The factory was making “shabu,” a type of methamphetamine. STORY: Drug abuse is rapidly becoming one of the biggest problems facing Indonesian youth. However, a great victory in the war against drugs has been won. Indonesian police recently uncovered a massive drug ring in Jakarta. Using the cover of being an Internet rental business, a drug manufacturing factory has been pumping drugs into the streets. On Thursday the 29th, police raided the compound and made several arrests. Prior to the bust, Indonesian police already successfully determined six people to be suspects in the drug ring. Each one was found to be directly involved in the drug factory. Computers were confiscated and examined to determine the extent of the online drug trafficking program. The multistory building had drug labs on the second, third, and forth floors. The first floor from outward appearances was a completely functional Internet rental business.
