i know when it first happened alot of christians said this, which is the dumbest thing ever since it was a frickin hurricane! and if you say god “sent” the hurricane, what about a said orphanage that gets set on fire by lightning and kills all the kids, did god send that lightning bolt too? why do christians have to make a connection between the happenings of mother nature and godly “intervention”? also keep in mind there are plenty of other places with far worse “sinners” than NO

I believe God usually does not currently intervene in natural events. So-called Christians do the cause of Jesus a disservice by saying God is taking vengeance through man-made or natural disasters.
