Serum Toxicology Drug of Abuse Blood Test.?

Question by Max: Serum toxicology drug of abuse blood test.?
I’m on vyvanse and I asked to get my dosage lowered because I’m very anxious and paranoid. My doctor lowered the dose but also told me to get a fasting blood test for various things along with the screening stated above. I recently decided to not smoke weed as often as I used to, but I’m sure that there is still THC in my body because I was a very heavy user. Vyvanse is an amphetamine and I wanted to know if the blood test would only be screening for amphetamines. If someone could help me before tomorrow morning, which is when I get the blood drawn, I would love them forever and ever! So please help me, any information is helpful! Thanks :]

It all depends on what tests get ordered. If your dr only indicated on the lab sheet to test for amphetamines then that’s all the lab techs will test for.. However if your dr also ordered for them to test your blood for marijuana the techs will do that too.. Your blood test will come back positive for THC if you have smoked pot within the last 30 days or so, it takes about that long to get it out of your system. All cutting back will do is the test will show lower levels of THC but like I said, regardless, if you have smoked within the last 30 days, that will come up in your results.

If your dr doesn’t know you smoke and you don’t look like a total pothead, then your dr probably didn’t order a test to screen for it.

Either way, at this time, there’s not much you can do. When you go to get your blood drawn tomorrow you can ask the person who draws your blood what tests are ordered, and they should tell ya. At least that way you’ll know if they’re testing for THC.

Sorry for the length!!
