Stepdad says alleged stabber is mentally ill
The stepfather of a 20-year-old man charged with attempted first-degree murder and held on $500,000 bond for a stabbing inside an upstairs East Broadway apartment fears that the state of his stepson’s mental health is being overlooked while he is in jail.
