Miami Heat Forward Beasley Hospitalized

In the NBA Mike Beasley of the Miami Heat has voluntarily admitted himself to a Houston hospital for treatment. Reportedly, he has had stressed related problems and dealing with depression. They also believe this is the cause of his reported substance abuse. He has been training in Houston,  as stated by personal manager, because its a change of scenery from Miami and hometown DC. Beasley took to his Twitter account with some really strange tweets over a week ago, like “Feelin like it’s not worth livin!!!!!!!” and “I Feel like the whole world is against me I can’t win for losin.”

Then there’s the photo Michael Beasley uploaded of his tattoo, which reads “Supercool Beas,” across his back from shoulder to shoulder and feathered wings with God’s Son extending half way down his back underneath. But the most striking thing about Michael Beasley’s tattoo photo is in the lower right hand corner. If you look closely there you can clearly see what appears to be drug paraphernalia. Beasley, is reportedly going to be in rehab for a 30 day stay, which was suggested by the Miami Heat.

IVERSON TO GO OVERSEAS???

Another story im sure you haven’t heard is that Greek team Olympiacos has reportedly offered Allen “The Answer” Iverson $10 million to head overseas next season. Seeing that Iverson doesn’t have a team right now, will he consider? It’s a growing trend in the NBA for players to head overseas to make a quick dollar. Iverson tweeted Wednesday, ” Well I am about to begin another workout session. Agent informed me that Memphis made us an offer on yesterday. Stay Tuned.” It was reported that he was close to signing with the Charlotte Bobcats and reunited with old Sixers coach Larry Brown, which was not accurate. As a veteran he qualifies fore the mid-level exception, which would be 5.854 million for 1 year. So, I guess that $10 million isn’t looking bad after all, what would you do? I know he probably doesn’t want to leave his family and friends and fly off to a foreign country. If I were A.I I would have my agent booking that flight NOW.

Has Mike Vick Been “Vick-timized”???

Most people believe that Michael Vick has did his time and paid for his crimes. Well there are two sides to this story, the supporters and those that can’t get over what he was involved in. Supporters have gone to the Eagles games with their kids wearing dog masks yelling “To hell with dogs, we love Vick”.

One thing that I learned about this case was Vick did his time for “Federal Racketeering” and he served his prison sentence and paid his debt to society for “Federal Racketeering”, only.  His crimes, the crimes of “Animal Cruelty” he plead “Not Guilty”. In a brokered Plea Agreement, the charges of Animal Cruelty were dismissed. Thus, unpunished were these crimes of inhumanity, by Mike Vick.

Federal agents that raided Vick’s home stated that other than the shallow graves that were found, the pool was one thing they couldn’t forget. The pool was used to drown the dogs that lost the fights and obvious signs of the dogs fighting for their life were found. ” It seems that while they were scrambling to escape, they scratched and clawed at the pool liner and bit at the dented aluminum sides like a hungry dog on a tin can,”  a federal agent stated.

Also, Vick’s dog named Georgia had her teeth removed from the roots, so she wouldn’t endanger the male partner during breeding. The murder and rape of these animals were all thrown out. So, in the eyes of some people these images will not go away. They cant see a person who was involved in these crimes against animals play a professional sport. Now in society we tend to put animals over actual human beings, so this may seem worse then hurting a person to some people. Either way it’s two sides to this story, which side are you on?
