I can’t tell you much about it as it is a part of a knowledge questionnaire I need to find out for school.

I would think that it means that the person is suffering from two different medical conditions, that may or may not be related. The second idea would be if the doctor is not sure which condition exactly the person has, because the conditions are so close in symptoms. But I prefer the 1st one.

OK… I’m a student nurse, just done a mental health placement and I had a chat about dual diagnosis.
Not too sure on my knowledge, didn’t discuss it in great depth but the ward manager said it gets quite interesting, my understanding is that it’s where someone is diagnosed with a mental illness and also has drug addiction/dependency issues
