What Does “hard” Mean in the Sense of Drinking and Alcohol?

Question by DavidArchuletaLover: What does “hard” mean in the sense of drinking and alcohol?
I was talking to a friend the other day and I was asking if there were any parties going on. (I’ve only just started trying drinking… not exsessively! i’m not getting wasted, just tipsy… just to the point of having a good time and getting loose). Anyways the person answered, “yeah there’s a big party… but it’s a drinking party.” (because most of my friends know i haven’t been to many parties and haven’t had alot of drinking experiences; and i think this friend forgot i’ve already tried it). so I said, “oh don’t worry, that’s not a problem.” and then they say, “oh yeah, you’re hard.” and I was like, “hard?” and they said, “yeah”
so i didn’t want to ask them what they meant because i might sound stupid, plus they had to go.
so i’m asking: what does “you’re hard” or “we’re hard” or just to be hard mean??
**in the sense of alcohol… not a boy having an erection!** haha
thank you!
