Drug abuse is taking any medication, prescriptions or non presciption drugs , or illegal drugs more than prescibed by your Doctor. Or just plain doing illegal drugs period. Taking more of anything in excess…..

Any substance that is used for something other than what it is designed for; in this country it has to be prescribed to be legal. A substance, legal or illegal, that alters your mental state, makes you euphoric or numbs pain.
Illicit(street)drugs-meth, PCP, cocaine, etc
Prescribed drugs-painkillers, muscle relaxers, anti-anxiety meds, weed in some areas
Legalized substances-tobacco, alcohol, weed in some areas
