it realy depends and although most people will try drugs at some time not all people become recreational users and even less of these become addicts
i feel the problem is over or under parenting as people who can do nothing as children tend to go wild when older
and children who can do anything have no small rebellions
realy a balance is needed between negitave and positive reinforcement is needed so that when the person exparements they know there is boundrys and so hopefully know when to stop

well it depends on the drugs. and if the person is just curious about how it feels to get high or buzzed, etc. What kind of upbringing do they come from or what is the atmosphere and pressure from their peers like. As sometimes people want to try to to say they did, while others want to find a way to hide or escape reality.
Prescription drugs, can be used for good and bad. As medications can help protect or heal problems and those taking them. Like in my own situation. However people can become addicted to them. Thinking they needs them to survive. When really they are masking the problem.
Then illegal drugs, can dull the pains, and cloud the mind from the stress and troubles of the day. Some people even use pot to fight ailments . But over use of any drugs can lead to a life long dependency on them to even function. Some people would disagree with me. But I know this as a fact by watching how my sibling can’t live without them.
The things people often ignore. As drugs can kill or hurt others around us, in various ways, it can set a negative impact on those we promised to love and raise to live a life we hope would bring happiness to them. Yet we don’t realize that drugs put our own happiness out of reach for us, As well as any success, safety, comfort, or job and family jeopardy of being taken from us.
