When Did the Adoption … ?
Question by Mrs.Turner: When did the adoption … ?
When did the Adoption section of yahoo answers become a forum for all those who hate adoption to gather and bash others? Isn’t the point of yahoo answers for people who want answers pertaining to all forms of adoption to ask their questions and get answers? Have you noticed that no other section of yahoo answers is like this? Most all other sections allow you to post your questions and get respectful, helpful, relevant answers to your questions!
PS not EVERY family who is looking to adopt wants to adopt an infant or bully a young mother into allowing them to purchase her baby! Some of us really do want to help children in need! I personally do believe that a child is always best off with their birth mother, BUT in reality young moms do occasionally want to give their babies up for adoption and while your worried about someone bulling her into giving her baby up for adoption you seem to forget that most of you might be bulling her into keeping her baby. But on top of that that is not the only situation children are adopted from. Many are orphaned (both parents dead), safe haven babies (children given to a safe haven such as a fire station, hospital, police station, etc within 7 days of birth with no questions asked), abandoned or permanently taken from an abusive home, drug ridden home, etc. You can not tell me that those children are better off in a group home than in a foster or adoptive home with a family.
I guess the point of my posting is that I would like to see those of you against adoption (which is perfectly ok) to please answer peoples questions appropriately and respectfully and if you cant do that then simply don’t respond to their posting.
SHOCKER: Most all of you managed to miss the point of my posting! Allow me to restate, I would like to see people please answer peoples questions appropriately and respectfully and if you cant do that then simply don’t respond to their posting. I dont care if your pro-adoption or not, if your not answering someone’s question then your response doesnt need to be on their question.
Once more for all of you who seem to think I MUST be out to get an infant to adopt. This is not true. Yes we are on the list for Safehaven children, however we are looking to adopt out of the foster care system, not that that has anything to do with any of you OR my posting about how often you people manage to respond irrelevantly just like you have to my posting here. Way to prove my point!
7rin – no I havent been to the religion section yet and not sure I want to. Im sure it gets crazy there! lol I spend most of my time on the parenting and newborn/pregnancy section where I see mostly just people, asking questions on care of newborns or what they can and cant do durring pregnancy.
